Usman, also said that Bola Tinubu has no ongoing criminal case with the police, he also added that the two petitions had against the presidential candidate were all on accusations and had been settled up by the supreme court in 2002 in a case filed by Gani Fawehinmi, the late human rights advocate.

He also stated that since the accused falsification and faking certificate had been settled by the Supreme Court, also there is no need for the police to restart the case.

The IGP who continued to state that the police do not need any court order to make an arrest and sue since it emerges its powers from the law and statutes demands the Federal High Court dismissed the case brought against him and the Nigeria Police Force for want of worth and control adding that the accuser will not be unjust if the case is closed.

counsel to the Civil group, Mister Eme Ekpu told Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo At the court session on Tuesday, November 1,  that the counter affidavit of police had just been served on him and he needs time to go through it and reply formally.
